Authorities have launched an urgent investigation into the brutal murder of a renowned Cocoa farmer, Bundu Kamando, in Kenema. He was found dead at his Cocoa farm with multiple stab wounds that indicate violent struggle. Initial reports suggest that Bundu Kamando sustained severe injuries while attempting to defend himself. Neighbours describe the scene as chaotic, with evidence of a struggle before he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. In a proactive move to maintain peace and Security, as well as bringing justice to victims in Gorama and Wandor Chiefdoms, Kenema District respectively, one Abu Kamando of Madina Village, Wandor Chiefdom is currently in police custody for allegedly killing his uncle, Bundu Kamando, a resident of Kamboma Village in the same chiefdom. According to the Officer in Command (O/C) of Baama Police Post, Inspector Prince Bernard Jaygboi Kamara, the suspect, Abu Kamando, was announced wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred on June 28, 2025, at a cocoa plantation farm believed to be a property of the deceased in Kamboma Village. O/C Kamara stated that the matter was reported to the Baama Police post by the town speaker, Chief Musa Baio, of the same village.
Consequently, the O/C furthered that he immediately informed and instructed his Crime Officer, D/PC 14450 Mansaray D.L., to team up with his Ops Officer, PC 13799 Abdularam Kpangay, and visit the scene of the crime to ascertain the authenticity of the report.
