SPEAKER COMMENDS HON. JOSEPH WILLIAMS-LAMIN FOR DEDICATION TO PARLIAMENTARY SERVICE

The Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Parliament of Sierra Leone, Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas, on Thursday, 11 June 2026, publicly commended and acknowledged the dedication, punctuality, and commitment of Hon. Joseph Williams-Lamin, Member of Parliament representing Bo District.
Speaking during proceedings in the Chamber of Parliament, the Speaker praised Hon. Williams-Lamin for his consistent attendance and timely presence at parliamentary sittings, describing him as a diligent and exemplary parliamentarian. The Speaker noted that Hon. Williams-Lamin has consistently demonstrated a strong sense of duty and commitment to serving both Parliament and the people of Sierra Leone.
Addressing Members of Parliament, the Speaker stated that legislators who continue to exhibit exceptional dedication and professionalism should not be surprised if Parliament, in the future, decides to recognize and reward their outstanding service. He emphasized that his remarks were not intended to initiate a debate but rather to acknowledge and encourage the high standards of commitment being displayed by certain Members.
The Speaker further stressed that recognition would be based solely on merit, diligence, and service to the nation. The commendation serves as an encouragement to Members of Parliament to maintain high levels of discipline, punctuality, and commitment in the discharge of their parliamentary responsibilities.
